Nancy “Lynette” (King) Shirley, age 75, of Chelsea, passed away Saturday, March 14.

The visitation will be from 1-2 p.m., Thursday, March 19 at Liberty Baptist Church in Chelsea. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the church with Dr. Tim Cox and Rev. Wayne Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery. Bolton Funeral Home is directing.

Mrs. Shirley was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She was a Rainbow Girl, oldest sister of five brothers, and retired from the Shelby County Board of Education.

Mrs. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Edna King; and brothers, Carl, Jr., John Terry, Rusty, and Don.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Shirley; children, Wayne Shirley (fiancé Tina Jiles) and Deborah Shirley Dawkins (Greg); grandchildren, Andrew Shirley, Gregory Dawkins, and Taylor Dawkins; and brother, Bobby King (Donna).
