Harpersville facilities to remain closed through April 30

HARPERSVILLE – With the threat of the spread of COVID-19, commonly referred to as the coronavirus, the town of Harpersville is continuing to take precautionary action to ensure the health and safety of residents and staff.

Under the advisement of federal, state, and county agencies, the following locations will remain closed to the public through April 30:

  • Harpersville Community Center
  • Harpersville Senior Center
  • Harpersville Public Library
  • Harpersville Municipal Park

The Harpersville Municipal Court docket scheduled for April 9 and April 23 have been postponed. Call (205) 672-9961 Ext. 3 to schedule a new court date.

The Harpersville Municipal Court Office will continue to accept payments.

The Harpersville Senior Center will continue to provide homebound meals.

Town Hall and the Harpersville Water Board will remain open for regular business during normal business hours.

To minimize human interaction, only one customer at a time will be allowed in the lobby area.

“We strongly encourage our citizens to practice social distancing by conducting business via phone calls, email, U.S. Mail, or the utilizing the drop-box,” read a release from the town. “Town leadership will continue to monitor the situation and update the status of all town facilities as more information becomes available. Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this unprecedented time.”
