MONTEVALLO – The Montevallo Farmers’ Market has returned for another summer season.

The market will be held every Monday from 3-6 p.m. through Aug. 17 behind Montevallo First Baptist Church, located at 660 Main Street.

“We’ve got a really good group of local growers this year,” Montevallo Chamber Executive Director Steve Gilbert wrote in a press release. “Just to name a few, the market also offers handmade soaps and lotions, peanut butter, lemonade, peanuts, baked goods, pre-packaged grab and go gourmet meals and plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. Also, the 2020 Census will be at the market to assist and answer questions.”

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the market as an annual program offered by the Montevallo Chamber of Commerce.

The market averages between 16-20 vendors each week, according to Gilbert, and is a certified market by the Alabama Department of Agriculture.

Before visiting the market, check the Montevallo Farmers’ Market 2020 Facebook event for the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries Market Customer Best Practices during COVID-19 Outbreak guidelines.
