MONTEVALLO – An event that draws thousands of people to Montevallo’s Orr Park each fall will not be held this year.

“Out of respect for our community, and in order to slow the spread of COVID-19, the Tinglewood Festival Committee regrettably announces the cancellation of Tinglewood Festival 2020, which was scheduled for Sept. 12 in Orr Park,” read a press release. “The committee is currently exploring options for an alternative virtual experience and will announce plans closer to the fall. Thanks to the Tinglewood Festival sponsors, artists, vendors and partner organizations for your continued commitment to supporting the arts in Montevallo.”

The committee is planning to hold the festival onsite at Orr Park again on Sept. 11, 2021.

Organized by the Montevallo Chamber of Commerce, Montevallo Main Street and the Montevallo Arts Council, the festival features chainsaw wood carving demonstrations, artist vendors, a classic car show and live music.
