Sidney Turner Glover, age 78, of Columbiana, passed away Thursday, June 25.

The visitation will be from 10-11 a.m., Monday, June 29 at Bolton Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Kelsey Grissom officiating. Burial will follow at Nabors Cemetery. Bolton Funeral Home is directing.

He was born Jan. 17, 1942 in Tarrant. He graduated from Thompson High School and received his Doctor of Motors, mechanic’s license in December 1964. He retired from Buffalo Rock after 36 years.

He proudly served in the Alabama Army National Guard, retiring as Staff Sergeant after 29 years.

He was a member of Camp Branch United Methodist Church for 58 years, where he sang in the choir and was a member of the United Methodist Men.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Levi and Georgia Glover; brother, Hubert; and wife of 37 years, Sandra Fulton Glover.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Trudi Waters Glover; daughter, Renee Roberson; granddaughters, Sidney and O’Neil; daughter, Laura Kay Glover (Connie); stepson, Chris Ramsey (JoEllen) and granddaughters, Annalee and Merry Michael; stepson, Joe Ramsey; granddaughter, Jessica; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
