PELHAM – The Alabama Wildlife Center has announced it is now accepting applications for an Executive Director/CEO position and for an Education Program Coordinator.

AWC is a nonprofit dedicated to the conservation and rehabilitation of Alabama’s various birds of prey. It is the largest and oldest wildlife rehabilitation center and cares annually for almost 2,000 wild bird patients from more than 100 species.

“Do you have a passion for wildlife, the environment, biodiversity and a deep concern for preserving and protecting our natural resources?” AWC said in a Facebook post.  “Are you looking for deeply satisfying work? If so, please consider applying with us at the Alabama Wildlife Center!”

The opening for the executive director position became available after the unexpected death of Doug Adair, who served the role since 2013.
