Shelby County Chamber to offer meeting, workshop for small business owners

On Thursday, Aug. 8 small business owners will have two separate opportunities to access information they can use to grow their business.
The first opportunity is one-on-one assistance from Michael Smith, The Shelby County Chamber’s entrepreneur-in-residence. Smith will be available for confidential and complimentary one-on-one meetings to discuss any business topic with four available time slots that day, starting at 8:30 a.m. There are no walk-ups, and appointments must be scheduled prior to Aug. 8 by contacting Karen Williams with the chamber at 205-663-4542 or by e-mail at karen@shelbychamber.org.
The second opportunity will come when Michael Smith will facilitate an interactive and informative workshop featuring four successful business owners from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Panelists for this workshop— sponsored by Valley Bank—include the following:
- Angie Simonetti, Advanced Landscape Services
- Melissa Dixon, CDI Janitorial Services
- Nedra Moore, Creations Galore and Moore, LLC
- Samata Shah, Kopri Signs & Graphics, LLC
The investment for the workshop—which includes a boxed lunch— is $10 per person for TSCC investors and $20 per person for “Future” TSCC investors.
