Calera police searching for suspect after armed gas station robbery

CALERA – The Calera Police Department is currently searching for a suspect after a masked gunman robbed the 310 Marathon gas station on the night of Wednesday, Feb. 5.

According to the CPD, a masked gunman entered the 310 Marathon gas station at approximately 6:40 p.m. on Feb. 5. The suspect robbed the attendant at gunpoint and took the money from the cash register before leaving in a small, dark-colored SUV which was parked behind the station. The suspect was last seen heading north on Interstate 65.

The suspect is a Black male, who was wearing a ball cap, grey hoodie, gloves, a tan jacket, dark pants and black shoes at the time of the robbery. The suspect also had a grey and black bag that was slung across their shoulder during the incident.

Calera detectives and crime scenes technicians responded and are currently investigating.
