VINCENT – After serving the city of Vincent for two years, Alicia’s Coffee announced that it will be closing its doors.

Alicia’s Coffee LLC announced through Facebook on Thursday, Feb. 20 that it will be closing its Vincent coffee shop location. The business is located at 42735 Highway 25.

“Good morning to the city of Vincent. I have been hesitant on posting this but we are closing the coffee shop in downtown Vincent,” read an official Facebook post by the business. “The Vincent Community has taught us so many things and been very supportive. We appreciate Terri Smith for introducing to the community and allowing the opportunity to grow. We love you all and even though we are closing it is not goodbye but see you later. Roc is ready to serve you.”

The business is encouraging residents to visit its sister location at the A.G Gaston Motel located at 1510 5th Ave. North Birmingham, Al 35203. The business also shared that customers will be able to use any gift cards or credit at the Birmingham location as well as reward points.

Alicia’s Coffee in Vincent opened its doors in December 2022. Shelby County resident Naimah Elmore was inspired to start the business during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Elmore worked together with her business partner, Rashard “Roc” Harrell to bring the business to life.

“We appreciate all the love,” read a post by Alicia’s Coffee LLC on Facebook. “Keep growing and keep building. We will be back. The coffee shop might be close, but the mission to bring resources to Vincent is still the mission. We cannot allow the next generation to suffer any longer”
