PELHAM – A flagship Pelham event celebrating the best culinary creations the city has to offer has been announced for the spring of 2025.

The 2025 Taste of Pelham has been scheduled for Thursday, April 3 from 6-8 p.m. at the Pelham Civic Complex & Ice Arena Banquet Hall.

“This is a can’t-miss culinary celebration benefiting the Pelham Public Library,” a statement from the city of Pelham reads. “Savor the flavors from approximately 30 local restaurants, chefs and caterers, all offering mouthwatering samples of their signature dishes.”

Mary Campbell, the director of the Pelham Public Library, gave an update on some of the restaurants set to participate in the event.

“We are still taking vendor applications, but past favorites have been Brownie Fusion, Creekside BBQ, Emily’s Heirloom Pound Cakes and Gumbo to Geaux,” Campbell said.

Campbell also discussed the importance of the event and how it specifically benefits the library as a whole.

“This event has raised thousands of dollars for the library and allowed us to upgrade technology offerings, enhance library spaces with furniture and of course covered some of the costs of building the beautiful library space we are in today,” Campbell said. “It is a fun time to spend with family and friends while sampling some of the best food around.”

Finally, Campbell discussed the event’s beginnings and how it has evolved over the years.

“It began as a fundraiser and advocacy event for building a new library,” Campbell said. “We moved into our gorgeous new building in 2018, and since then the event helps us fund some of the extras that make us one of the best public libraries in the state.”
