MONTEVALLO – The University of Montevallo Falcons will play one of their most important games of the season in front of their most loyal fans when the Gulf South Conference Quarterfinals comes to Central State Bank Arena.

Montevallo’s men’s basketball team will host the Gulf South Conference Quarterfinals on Tuesday, March 4 at 7 p.m. with doors to open at 6 p.m.

The Falcons will face either No. 5 Delta State or No. 6 West Alabama, with the matchup to be determined by Montevallo’ seed, which will be finalized after Saturday, March 1’s road game at Valdosta State.

Montevallo has been on a historic run in the 2024-25 season, breaking the school record for most GSC wins in a single season with a 14-7 conference record. The Falcons have won five of their last six games and enter the regular season finale with an 18-9 overall record.

Fans can purchase general admission tickets on Montevallotickets.universitytickets.com for $5 each. The first 50 fans will receive a coupon for a free Chick-fil-A chicken biscuit courtesy of Chick-fil-A Calera.

UM students will get in free with a valid student ID but must sign in beforehand. Since the game is a Sea of Purple game, the first 75 students will receive a free Sea of Purple t-shirt.

Should the Falcons win, they will move on to the GSC semifinals at either 5 p.m. or 7:15 p.m. on Saturday, March 8 at Samford’s Pete Hanna Center in Homewood. The GSC men’s basketball championship game will follow the next day on Sunday, March 9 at 3 p.m. at the Pete Hanna Center.
