ALABASTER – Family Connection is preparing to welcome guests from around the Birmingham area for a night of dancing and reliving memories at its first-ever Grown-Up Prom on Friday, April 11 at 7 p.m. at The Farrell in Homewood.

The prom will raise funds for the program’s organizations and services like its Residential Youth Shelter in Alabaster and the Project HOPE Outreach Center in downtown Birmingham. all directly going towards benefitting the people that it serves on a daily basis.

The night of fun will feature a full evening of food and music available to help those in attendance recount and celebrate a night from their days in school while also helping to support kids in need.

Family Connection is a non-profit organization that has worked in serving youth in crisis and families for nearly 50 years, striving to provide shelter, safety and counseling to young people in crisis with the goal of helping them find a better path for the future of their lives

The organization is currently the only the Basic Center provider of emergency shelter for children who have run away and are homeless in the state of Alabama. It provides children with their basic needs such as food, clothes and shelter, but also provides other services in order to meet a child’s physical, mental and emotional needs.

Sponsorship tables are available $1,500, which will secure a table for eight guests at the event. With the purchase, sponsors will receive recognition on the organization’s website and social media pages, and guests of the sponsor will receive drink tickets, a photo package and prom favors.

Individual tickets can be purchased for $125, while couples tickets can be purchased for $250. The prom will end at 11 p.m. and all those in attendance will be able to dance the night away with a few grown-up twists thrown in.
