BIRMINGHAM – Children’s of Alabama Indy Grand Prix, in partnership with AmFirst, announced the second annual Education Champion of the Year award, celebrating outstanding educators who go above and beyond for their students.

This initiative aims to recognize the invaluable contributions of teachers in 13 counties throughout Alabama and empower them with resources to enhance their classrooms.

As part of the Education Champion of the Year program, students and parents are invited to nominate their favorite teacher for the chance to win a $5,000 grant for their classroom. Nominations are open until Friday, April 11, providing ample opportunity for communities to shine a spotlight on educators who make a difference in the lives of their students.

The winning teacher, along with their class, will receive a VIP experience at the Children’s of Alabama Indy Grand Prix on Friday, May 2. This exclusive opportunity will allow them to enjoy a day filled with racing action and education.
