Lindsay Brand, 37, courageously left her earthly journey on March 10, 2025, after a remarkable four-year and four-month battle with cancer. Born on December 22, 1987, she radiated hope and inspiration to those around her. A 2006 graduate of Jemison High School, she pursued her passion at Jefferson State Community College, studying Medical Office Administration. Her professional journey ended with the Shelby County Board of Education as Federal Programs Secretary. Her eight-year marriage to Greg Brand was a testament to the power of love and commitment. Lindsay’s heart swelled with joy when surrounded by family, friends, and pets. Her soul was nourished by the beauty of butterflies, the rhythm of dance, the passion of playing pool, the harmony of singing, and the wonder of traveling. Purple, a symbol of resilience, was her favorite color, and sunflowers, representing warmth and happiness, were her cherished flowers. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Greg Brand; her beloved fur babies, Blue and Lena, her mother; her brother; her sister; a host of beloved in-laws, neices, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Glenn Huffman.
