COLUMBIANA – Joseph Austin Hurley, age 28 of Graysville, has been arrested by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office on multiple charges of possession of child pornography.

According to court records, Hurley allegedly possessed several video clips containing visual depictions of a child under the age of 17 years engaged in sexual acts. Records also indicate Hurley allegedly distributed a video clip containing obscene matter to another user over the mobile messaging app Kik on July 7, 2024.

Hurley was arrested and booked into the Shelby County Jail on Friday, April 11 for 10 charges of possession of child pornography—each on a $15,000 bond—and one charge of dissemination or display of child pornography on a $30,000 bond for a total bond of $180,000.
