PELHAM – Pelham Palooza, Pelham’s community festival featuring live music, a variety of food and family-friendly fun, has officially been canceled due to inclement weather.
“We’re sad to announce that Pelham Palooza has officially been canceled due to weather,” read a statement from Pelham Parks and Recreation. “Heavy rain has left too much water on the trail, and ongoing lightning in the area is preventing us from setting up safely. We know many of you were looking forward to the fun, and we were too. Thank you for understanding as we prioritize safety for everyone involved. Be sure to follow us for updates on upcoming events. We’ve got more great things planned for the summer.”
Pelham Palooza was originally scheduled for Saturday, May 17 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Pelham City Park. The event was free to the public, with live music performances, food trucks with local eats and more activities planned for one of Pelham’s biggest events.
“Pelham Palooza is one of Pelham’s largest and most exciting events—fun for all ages,” said Alicia Walters, the assistant director of Pelham Parks and Rec. “It’s the ultimate community festival, bringing together live music, delicious food, local vendors and activities for the whole family. Held annually at Pelham City Park, this free event captures the spirit of the city with a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere. From unique artisan booths to hands-on activities and performances, there’s truly something for everyone.”
This marks the second consecutive year that Pelham Palooza has been canceled due to severe weather, with 2024’s event also unable to go on.
