CALERA – Residents can look forward to a day out on the green while contributing to a good cause during the 40th annual Golf Fore Homeless Youth tournament.

Golf Fore Homeless Youth will return to Shelby County on Monday, June 2 at Timberline Club in Calera. Registration and lunch will begin at 11 a.m. with a shotgun start at 1 p.m.

“For 40 years, Golf Fore Homeless Youth has not only been a great day of golf, but a powerful force for change in the lives of young people who need it most,” said Jennifer Ellison, executive director of Family Connection. “We are so grateful to the players and sponsors who continue to show up and support our work. Your generosity has helped thousands of youth find safety, stability and a path forward.”

The golf tournament will include lunch, competitive play, on-course contests, raffle prizes and the chance to network with other participants. There will be multiple contests, including Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin, Hole-in-One and more. Entree to the event is $175 per player and includes green fees, a golf cart, lunch and a gift bag.

The annual tournament has brought together golfers from across Shelby County each year to raise funds for the local nonprofit Family Connection and its mission to support runaway and homeless youth. Proceeds from the 2025 Golf Fore Homeless Youth Tournament will directly fund programs to provide shelter, safety and counseling for runaway youth, homeless youth and those in crisis.

Sponsorships for the golf tournament are available at multiple levels for individuals and businesses. Those interested in registering a team or that wish to explore sponsorship opportunities, may visit Fcgolf4homelessyouth.com or contact 205-663-6301.
