MONTGOMERY – Three top stars from Shelby County will head to Montgomery for one of the top annual showcases in the state of Alabama as the Thompson Warriors, Spain Park Jaguars and Briarwood Christian Lions will all be represented at the North-South All-Star Game.

Thompson’s Wyatt Williams, Spain Park’s Rhys Jones and Briarwood’s Parker Daniels were named to the North All-Stars in a press release by the AHSAA on Tuesday, May 27.

The North-South All-Star Game is the AHSAA’s annual showcase of the top rising seniors in the state of Alabama. The Alabama High School Athletic Directors and Coaches Association (AHSADCA) selects the rosters for the games which take place during the week of July 21-24.

Williams was selected as a pitcher, infielder and outfielder, and he did all of those roles well during the Warriors’ 2025 season. He finished with the second-best batting average in the entire county at .450 with a .494 on-base percentage and a .764 slugging percentage thanks to his 63 hits, 68 RBI, 20 doubles, three triples and six home runs.

On the mound, Williams wrapped the year with a 7-2 record, 1.50 ERA and 0.95 WHIP, ranking in the top five in the county in both of the latter stats. He earned 86 strikeouts against 23 walks and gave up just 12 earned runs in 53.2 innings.

Jones was selected to represent Spain Park after a strong junior season as a shortstop. The UAB commit batted .309 with a .472 on-base percentage after earning 25 hits in 81 at-bats with 15 RBI against just 12 strikeouts.

Daniels will hold down the fort for the North All-Stars as the backstop at catcher and first base. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound Briarwood star finished the year with a .361 average, .482 on-base percentage and .491 slugging percentage thanks to his 39 hits, 26 RBI and eight doubles against 15 strikeouts.

He also kept the plate clean throughout much of the season for the Lions with a .981 fielding percentage, giving up just three errors during the 2025 campaign.
