Pregnant employee taken to hospital after shooting at Hoover Walk-Ons

HOOVER – An investigation is underway after law enforcement responded to a shooting on Saturday, June 14 at the Walk-Ons Sports Bistreaux in Hoover.

Police were dispatched to the scene at Tattersall Drive on June 14 at 1:47 p.m. after there was a report of a shooting involving two employees. Upon arrival authorities discovered a 22-year-old pregnant woman who was an employee and had a gunshot to her abdomen. She was reportedly taken in stable condition by the Hoover Fire Department to UAB Hospital, however, her unborn child was killed.

The shooter was identified as a 36-year-old male who also was an employee of Walk-Ons.

Police believe reckless behavior with a firearm was involved on the part of the male suspect.

The identity of the male shooter is currently not known at this time. Further information will be released as it becomes available.
