The Pell City Police Department responded to a call on Wednesday, June 25 at 9:17 p.m. from a Sonic Drive-In along U.S. Highway 231 that reported a road-rage shooting happening approximately a half-mile away from the restaurant.

Officers arrived at the scene to find a driver of a vehicle with a gunshot wound to the leg after multiple shots were fired into the vehicle by a suspect in a separate vehicle that later fled the scene along Hwy 231 southbound.
