HOOVER – As traffic continues to fly by each day on U.S. Highway 280, drivers now have a new spot to stop at to keep their vehicles clean as a company has expanded its Birmingham boundaries.

New Day Car Wash, which currently has four locations in the surrounding areas of Birmingham, recently opened up its newest site along the Hwy 280 corridor next to Hamburger Heaven.

The company, which currently operates in Vestavia Hills, Trussville and Fultondale, is also preparing to open up a fifth location in the state of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

Paden Gaines, director of operations for LIV Ventures, spoke during New Day’s ribbon cutting on Friday, June 27 about what the car wash company provides that he believes is different from what customers will get with competitors, expressing his excitement for what the location will bring.

“Our goal with New Day is to create a different experience for customers, something that you can’t find at other car washes,” Gaines said. “The only way to do that is to have a team on site to execute the mission and the vision that we put in place.”

New Day Car Wash officially opened on Friday, June 20, but held its ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Shelby County Chamber and the Hoover Chamber of Commerce one week later.

Gaines stated that out of the four locations currently open, the New Day on Hwy 280 is the largest and will serve as the flagship location. It also holds the longest wash tunnel out of any of the sites, as well.

In addition to the cutting of the ribbon, the Exceptional Foundation, which provides social and recreational services to adults and children with intellectual disabilities in the Birmingham area, served as the nonprofit beneficiary for the opening, helping the opening go towards a good cause.

New Day offers four wash packages to customers as part of their experience. For a single month, customers can get a basic package for $15, a classic for $20, a deluxe for $25 and a signature for $30. Customers can also buy a monthly membership for any of those packages for five dollars more.
