PELHAM – Chad Leverett, the current appointed member for Place 2 on the Pelham City Council, has officially announced his candidacy to retain the seat in the 2025 municipal election.
A longtime Pelham resident, husband, father, coach and active community member, Leverett brings a consistent record of service and thoughtful leadership to the role. Since his appointment, he has championed projects focused on infrastructure, recreation, beautification and employee support—all with an emphasis on people-first decision-making.
“This city isn’t just where I serve—it’s where I live, worship, coach and raise my son,” Leverett said. “Every decision I make is rooted in what’s best for Pelham—not for politics, but for people. I’ve done this work with integrity, prayer and purpose, and now I’d be honored to earn the trust and the vote of this community.”
Leverett is a familiar face at neighborhood meetings and city events, known for listening closely to residents and showing up with sincerity. His leadership style blends transparency, humility and action—qualities that have shaped his campaign and daily work.
His platform is built around five key priorities:
-Connection – Fostering community through inclusive events, shared spaces, and city-wide celebrations
-Recreation & Wellness – Investing in Pelham’s parks, trails, senior center, and youth sports facilities
-Infrastructure – Committing to long-term improvements in roads, drainage, and essential systems
-Beautification – Enhancing public spaces, including Highway 31, with landscaping, lighting, and signage
-City Employees – Supporting the people who serve Pelham daily with the tools, respect, and resources they deserve
“These five areas represent more than just a platform—they reflect the way I live, the values I hold and the future I want for Pelham,” Leverett said. “It’s not about checking boxes—it’s about doing the work and doing it well.”
With his wife Melissa and their son Will by his side, Leverett says his campaign is grounded in faith, family and a desire to help Pelham thrive for generations to come.
“My goal is simple—to help build a Pelham we’re proud to pass on to the next generation,” he said. “That takes work, honesty and the willingness to show up, day after day. I’m all in.”
