CALERA – Law enforcement have confirmed that officers have been injured after a pursuit in Shelby County.

Northbound on Interstate 65 is now shut down near mile marker 233 just short of the Shelby County Airport exit after a multi-agency, multi-county pursuit. According to the Calera Police Department, there are injured officers.

Residents are encouraged to avoid the area while the police officers receive medical attention.
