Arbor Day

SHELBY COUNTY – Arbor Day will be celebrated throughout Shelby County, as cities such as Alabaster, Chelsea and Montevallo will hand out free trees.
ALABASTER – Location: Veterans Park (inside the Maintenance Building) located at 7305 Highway 119
Event: There will be 130 trees and 200 saplings distributed FREE of charge to Alabaster residents and businesses.
Special Guest: Smokey Bear will be visiting this year from approximately 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM, and he’ll be happy to pose for pictures! More info: https://www.cityofalabaster.com/215/Arbor-Day-Feb
CHELSEA – All activities will be held at the Chelsea Community Center.
MONTEVALLO – The Montevallo Arbor and Beautification Board will hold its annual Arbor Day 2022 on Saturday, Feb. 26. The event will be held at the Montevallo Recycling Center on the corner of Overland Drive and Spring Creek Road. To allow for a socially distanced event, the trees will be available from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. or until supplies run out.
