MOBILE – After a season full of game-changing turnovers late in contests, Thompson’s Anquon Fegans wrapped up his career in a Warriors helmet with one last statement.

Fegans secured the game-sealing interception for the Alabama All-Stars in a 35-29 come-from-behind victory over the Mississippi All-Stars in the annual Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic on Friday, Dec. 13 at South Alabama’s Hancock-Whitney Stadium.

The Auburn safety commit came up big on a late offensive series for Mississippi. He made two tackles in coverage before picking off future Tigers teammate Deuce Knight of George County and returning it 18 yards to give Alabama the ball back.

The interception capped off a wild game with eight different lead changes capped off by 10 unanswered points from Alabama in the win.

Fegans finished the game with seven tackles, including five solo tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss while starting for Alabama.

However, he wasn’t the only representative of Shelby County on the Alabama All-Stars.

Thompson edge rusher Jared Smith earned one tackle in the win while the Auburn signee played alongside both his high school and college teammate in Fegans.

Helena wide receiver Torrey Ward made history as the first Husky to ever play in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic.

The Samford signee caught passes on two of his three targets for a total of 12 yards, one for seven yards and another for five yards.

Both passes came from Saraland quarterback and Texas signee KJ Lacey, with the first coming with 8:43 remaining in the first quarter and the second taking place at the start of the fourth quarter.
