PELHAM – The Applebee’s in Pelham has temporarily closed its doors as it undergoes a full-scale renovation in preparation for a fresh new look. The restaurant, which first opened on October 4, 1995, closed on Monday, June 9 and is scheduled to reopen on Monday, June 23.

Wade Crawford, director of Marketing for Quality Restaurant Concepts LLC, said the remodel reflects both the longevity of the location and Applebee’s ongoing efforts to modernize the dining experience for guests.

“(The) Pelham (location) opened October 4, 1995, which makes the operations there 30 years old,” Crawford said. “During that time, there have been a couple of significant updates to the Applebee’s brand—most notably the addition of the sports package with the TV system and an updated memorabilia package about 10 years ago.”

This new round of updates is extensive, with nearly every part of the restaurant getting refreshed. Guests can expect a complete overhaul of the front-of-house space, including new ceiling tiles, tables, booths, walls, floors, bathrooms and repositioned TVs for a better viewing experience.

“The front of the house will have a fresh new look and feel,” Crawford said.

Beyond the dining area, the back of the house is undergoing continued maintenance and cleaning. Exterior improvements include freshly painted signage and building exteriors, cleaned sidewalks and a newly resurfaced parking lot. Trees are also being removed from the front to improve visibility and overall curb appeal.

Crawford emphasized that the renovations are not only a visual upgrade but also a reflection of Applebee’s commitment to customer satisfaction and community presence.

The Pelham location is also currently hiring for all positions, with applications being accepted during the renovation period.

As the restaurant approaches its 30th anniversary, the refreshed look aims to offer loyal guests a revitalized atmosphere while continuing to serve as a local gathering spot for families, sports fans and friends alike.
