Brandelyn Nelson announces candidacy for Montevallo City Council

FROM STAFF REPORTS

MONTEVALLO – Longtime Montevallo resident, small business owner and community volunteer Brandelyn Nelson has officially announced her candidacy for the Montevallo City Council in District 4.

Nelson, who has lived and worked in Montevallo for nearly a decade, brings a blend of professional experience and civic engagement to her campaign. A local realtor with Team Lehman Realty, she has spent years building relationships with families, neighbors and business owners throughout the city.

In addition to her work in real estate, Nelson is a parent of a Montevallo High School student and is actively involved in community initiatives. Her campaign is centered on the theme of “Leadership that Listens,” with a platform focused on practical solutions, inclusive engagement and support for students, seniors and working families.

“As a first-time candidate, I’m committed to bringing a fresh perspective and a passion for making Montevallo a place where everyone feels at home,” Nelson said. “I want to serve in a way that listens first and leads with the needs of the community in mind.”

Nelson hopes her blend of real-world experience and commitment to the city will resonate with voters seeking engaged, thoughtful leadership on the council.
