Michelle Power running for Pelham City Council

PELHAM – Michelle Power, a lifelong Pelham resident and veteran educator, has officially announced her candidacy for Pelham City Council, Place 1 in the upcoming municipal election on Tuesday, Aug. 26.

With 28 years in education—including 22 within the Pelham school system—Power has spent her career shaping the lives of local students and supporting families across the city. Now, she’s ready to take that same passion and servant leadership to City Hall.

“I was born and raised in Pelham, and I’ve spent my life working to make this community a better place for all,” said Power. “Now, I’m ready to take that same dedication to the City Council to ensure our city continues to grow while preserving the values that make it so special.”

Running under the banner Power for Pelham, her campaign is centered on community-first leadership, transparency and collaborative progress. Her key priorities include:

  • Supporting strong schools and educational partnerships
  • Ensuring public safety and quality of life for all residents
  • Promoting smart, sustainable growth
  • Preserving the tight-knit community spirit that defines Pelham

“My campaign is about listening, serving and working together,” Power said. “I believe in transparent leadership and building strong partnerships between the city, schools and residents.”
