Montevallo Rotary hosts ATEF director

MONTEVALLO – The Montevallo Rotary Club, a 501(c)3 non-profit committed to serving the residents of Montevallo, recently hosted Ken Moss, the director of the Alabama Therapeutic Education Facility, at a recent meeting.
After graduating Indiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in criminology in 1982, Moss began work for the Indiana Department of Correction, where he worked for 28 years before retiring in 2010. Moss held many roles within the organization, ranging from case manager to the department’s superintendent.
In 2010, Moss began working at the Community Education Center as the assistant facility director at ATEF. He also worked for CEC as the regional quality manager in Colorado. Moss returned to ATEF in 2017, and now serves as the director of the organization located in Columbiana.
The Rotary Club’s meetings are held each Thursday at noon at the Elder Justice Center in Montevallo. Through their weekly meetings, the club discusses local issues, plans community service projects and aims to foster a strong sense of camaraderie among members.
Rotary International, the global organization that the Montevallo Rotary Club is a part of, is dedicated to promoting peace, fighting disease, providing clean water, sanitation and hygiene, supporting education and growing local economies.
