New parking lot underway at Pelham Civic Complex

FROM STAFF REPORTS

PELHAM – The city of Pelham is taking another step toward improving accessibility and convenience at the Pelham Civic Complex and Ice Arena.

Work is underway on a new parking lot on the west side of the facility. Crews are currently trenching to install electrical wiring for the new parking lot lights—an important step toward brighter, safer and more accessible parking.

The project will add around 260 new spaces, making it easier for guests to enjoy events, games and activities at the arena. The new parking lot will also greatly improve accessibility for skaters, coaches and spectators needing entry to the west side of the building.

Along with the spaces, the parking lot will feature curbing, landscape islands, lighting and sidewalks connecting to the Greenway Trail and the complex. The project’s cost is $750,000.
