New Year’s resolutions

With 2025 fast approaching, it is the time of year where millions of Americans make plans to start the new year off right.

Whether it’s going to the gym for the first time in months, dropping a bad habit or trying something way out of your comfort zone, New Year’s resolutions are a time-honored tradition that provide people hope and purpose for the year ahead.

We here at the Shelby County Reporter have only one New Year’s resolution headed into 2025. Our main goal this year is to remain committed to telling the stories of Shelby County in a way that honors the unique traditions and ways of life of the communities we serve.

Whether it’s covering another Thompson football win, the newest restaurant in Pelham or teachers in Calera making an impact, we here at SCR will continue to bring you, the reader, all of the content that matters to you and your community.

We as a staff have been working diligently recapping the 2024 calendar year in our Year of Review issues. It is truly impressive to see all that Shelby County accomplished in 2024, and we hope you, the reader, appreciated a reflective look back on the year that was.

We as a staff are excited to see what the year 2025 has to offer for Shelby County. We know that the new year can also bring plenty of uncertainty, but we hope that our commitment to bringing important local news to the citizens of Shelby County remains a constant.

Just like the rest of America, we have made resolutions for the New Year. We hope to fulfill our resolution to continue bringing you the best local content in Shelby County to the best of our ability. It is our honor to serve as Shelby County’s premier source of news, and we look forward to all 2025 has to offer for our community.
