Panthers shut out Bessemer City

The Pelham High School girls’ soccer team shut out Bessemer City 10-0 in high school soccer action March 26.

Cassie Shiflett led the Panthers with three goals in the victory. Shiflett also recorded one assist.

Elizabeth Deyton added two goals and one assist. Mara DeLuca, Emily Deyton, Ana Gonzalez and Alexia Fowler contributed one goal each.

Ashley Gardner led the Panthers with three assists. DeLuca finished with two assists. Courtney Rawden, Emily Deyton and Gonzalez added one assist each.

Pelham goalkeeper Selina Delgadillo registered one save as she posted her eighth shutout of the season.

BOYS

Andres Melendez led the Panthers with three goals in the victory.

Ryan Tapley added two goals and two assists. Cameron Murray also contributed two goals in the win.

Diego Lopez finished with one goal and three assists.
