Kingwood wins last regular season match

BESSEMER- In Kingwood Christian School’s last match before the postseason, the Lions swept Bessemer Academy 3-0 (25-14, 25-21, 25-8)  on Oct. 9 at Bessemer Academy.

Madelyn Pearce led the Lions with ten kills, two aces and a dig, while Casey Whitmer added six kills, an ace and a block. Sloane Pickett chipped in nine aces, a kill and a block, while Blair Holsombeck had 14 assists,  an ace and three digs.

The Lions do not compete again until Regionals Oct. 18 in Selma.
