Westminster finishes third at 1A/2A meet

OAKVILLE – The Westminster School of Oak Mountain Lady Knights had three runners in the top-20 to take third in the team standings in the 1A/2A race at the 2012 AHSAA Cross Country Championships on Nov. 10.

Maggie Hoaglund set the pace with a fourth place finish with a time of 19:57.78. Sarah Kate Lipperd was 12th (21:03.04) and Camilla Lemmons took 17th (21:11.26) to round out the top finishers for the Lady Knights.

Westminster was behind Montgomery Academy (41 points) and St. Bernard (57 points) with 88 points in the team standings.

Logan Richburg finished 27th (18:54.03) to lead the Westminster Knights to a fifth place finish in the 1A/2A boys race. Noah Thompson was 35th (19:03.76) while Nathan Deen (19:10.75) and Scott Landers (19:11.64) finished 44th and 45th respectively.
