Basketball conference games with Georgia Southwestern change dates

MONTEVALLO – The Peach Belt Conference men’s and women’s basketball meetings between the University of Montevallo and Georgia Southwestern State University will be held one day earlier than originally scheduled.

The Falcons’ road contests on the Georgia Southwestern campus in Americus, Ga. will be held Wednesday, Jan. 16. The women’s game will tip off at 4:30 p.m. CST, with the men’s game scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CST.

The home games against the Hurricanes at BankTrust Arena have moved to Wednesday, Feb. 13, giving the Falcons an additional day ahead of the first nationally televised game broadcast from the University of Montevallo campus Saturday, Feb. 16 against Clayton State University.

Tip off for the women’s game against Georgia Southwestern on Feb. 13 at BankTrust Arena is set for 5:30 p.m. CST, with the men’s game scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CST.

The men’s game against Clayton State, which will be broadcast nationally by the CBS Sports Network, will tip off at 11 a.m. on Feb. 16 at BankTrust Arena. The women’s game against Clayton State will tip off at 1 p.m. on Feb. 16.

The Falcons return to action Thursday, Jan. 10 with Peach Belt Conference contests on the road at the University of North Georgia. The women’s game will tip off at 4:30 p.m. CST, followed by the men’s game with a 6:30 p.m. CST tip-off time.
