Calera edges West Blocton

The Calera Lady Eagles softball team held on for a 7-5 victory over West Blocton March 14.

Calera (9-6-1) scored three runs in the fourth to regain the lead after trailing 4-3.

Emily Sanders picked up the win allowing three earned runs on 10 hits with two strikeouts. Shelby Clark led Calera batting 3-for-4 with a triple and double with three runs scored. Kymber McGiboney went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs. Somer Roberson led the Lady Eagles with three RBIs while batting 2-for-4.
