Kingwood track teams take fourth at Kingwood Invite

The Kingwood Christian girls and boys track teams each placed fourth at the Kingwood Invite held at Heardmont Park March 12.

The Kingwood boys scored 65 points led by Titus Adams. Adams won the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.82 and the high jump with a mark of 5-foot, 10-inches. Montez Haynes won the long jump with a mark of 21-feet, and one-half inch.

Dylan Brantley led Cornerstone Christian with a second-place finish in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:27.96.

The Kingwood girls track team scored 45 points in its fourth place finish. Taylor White led Kingwood with a second-place finish in the shot put with a throw of 24-feet, seven and a half inches. Amanda Douglas was second in the discus with a throw of 65-feet.
