Meet Ida. She is a 2-year-old female brindle pit bull terrier mix. She’s a very shy girl but a very loving dog. She loves to play with other dogs, play ball, and is a major couch potato. She knows how to sit for a treat and loves car rides. She would make a great new four legged member to any family.

Meet Caroline. She’s a 1-year-old female domestic shorthair mix. This sweet girl loves to play with her toys, but will cuddle in your lap all day if you’d let her. She would be a constant companion to anyone willing to give her a chance.

If you would be interested in learning more about either of these beautiful pets, contact SHS at 669-3916 ext.22. And as always, feel free to come out to see all of our available pets at our shelter here in Columbiana Tuesday-Saturday noon-5:30 p.m. You can also check out our website at or follow us on Facebook for updates and more. Choose Shelby Humane Society and Give Life A Chance. Also, don’t forget, all adoption fees until the end of the July are $17.76.
