I attended Jeremys funeral service. So sad to see a young man pass away with two children. He was a part of our family since he was six years old, when my brother, Chris Thompson, took over raising him. He had been so ill for months but Chris continued to care for him as a son. He and Chris loved each other. He had a wonderful childhood not wanting for anything. Chris may have not been his biological father but in all other aspects he was Jeremy’s Dad. R.I.P. Jeremy. We love you and you will not be forgotten.

It saddens me for us to lose such a young father. Jeremy will be missed greatly by those who truly loved and cared about him. No where in this obit does it mention that Jeremy was raised from the time he was 6 years old by his true “dad” Chris Thompson. Chris took care of Jeremy through all of his illnesses and all of his hospital stays and releases. He was there when he was at his worst, and there was no one else that would help him. This usually would not be something I would even mention, however, Chris should have been honored and not dismissed! All I can say is he was my first cousin through my Uncle Chris, and that is how I have always known him. I have not once met another member of his biological family. Family is defined by the people that will stand by you no matter what, family is defined by the people that love you at your best and your worst! I know that Jeremy would have been saddened by the failure to mention his real family. His son Christian and his daughter Skylar will remain in my prayers in hopes that they will remember their father for the good times, smiles and happiness that was shared while Jeremy was alive. ~~~Rest in Peace~~~
