Johnathan Fredrick (John) Matzke, age 20, of Columbiana, died Tuesday, Aug. 4.
The funeral service will be held at noon, Saturday, Aug. 8 at Wilsonville Baptist Church with Bro. Caleb Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Pinelawn Gardens. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. – noon, Saturday, Aug. 8 at the church. Bolton Funeral Home is directing.
John is preceded in death by his grandmother, Jean Matzke.
He is survived by his parents, JR and Lisa Matzke; sister, Heather Matzke; grandparents, Joyce Horton, Dale and Leila Horton, and Delmore Matzke; great grandmother, Eloise Horton; love of his life, Hannah Smith; and numerous other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Children’s Hospital of Alabama, Wings of Hope Foundation or charity of your choice.
