AUGUSTA, Ga. – University of Montevallo sophomore Kristy Bohan was named the Peach Belt Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for the first time in her career Oct. 27.

Bohan compiled a career-high 26 kills in the Falcons’ 3-1 victory over visiting Augusta University in a Peach Belt Conference contest Oct. 20.

The middle blocker from Huntsville surpassed her previous career high of 21 kills in the victory while compiling an impressive .571 hitting percentage in the 28-26, 23-25, 25-19, 25-21 win over the Jaguars. Bohan also registered a match-high six blocks in the win while compiling three service aces and four digs.

Bohan’s 26 kills are tied for the most in a single match in the Peach Belt Conference this season. Bohan averaged 6.50 kills per set in the four-set victory to help the Falcons remain undefeated at home this season.

Bohan currently leads the Peach Belt Conference with 307 total kills this season. Bohan is also second in the conference with an average of 3.49 kills per set.

Bohan and the Falcons return to action today with a Peach Belt Conference contest against Georgia College on a neutral court at the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, Georgia. First serve is set for 4 p.m. Eastern/3 p.m. Central.
