The Shelby County Judicial Nominating Commission has nominated three attorneys to be considered to fill the temporary vacancy created by the retirement of Circuit Judge G. Daniel Reeves.

The nominees are Lara McCauley Alvis, Patrick E. Kennedy and J. Timothy Smith.

Gov. Robert Bentley will select one of the three nominees to serve as a Circuit Judge until the next general election.
