Players, sponsors sought for Chambers’ golf tournament

CALERA–The Greater Shelby County Chamber of Commerce, along with the South Shelby Chamber of Commerce, are in search of sponsors and players to participate in the 28th annual “Tee it Up Fore Education” golf tournament.

The golf tournament will be Thursday, Sept. 28, at Timberline Golf Club in Calera. The tournament will begin at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start and all proceeds will benefit scholarships and career readiness initiatives.

A few of the education and workforce development programs the Greater Shelby Chamber has launched over the past few years include Keeping it Real, Student Career Awareness Fair, Student and Educator of the Year and Communication Matters, according to tournament information.

Registration for the tournament will be at 7:15 a.m. the morning of Sept. 28 followed by breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Once the round of golf concludes, lunch will also be served.

The cost of the golf tournament is $150 per player and a wide range of sponsorship opportunities is also available.

Sponsorship opportunities are as follows:

–$1,500 Gold Sponsor: This includes one four-person team. This sponsor will have the opportunity to place promotional items in golfer goodie bags, have a display table in the clubhouse, event signage and recognition on all pre and post-event publicity in all cross-promotional marketing by the Greater Shelby and South Shelby Chambers.

–$750 Silver Sponsor: This includes one four-person team. This sponsor will have the opportunity to place promotional items in golfer goodie bags and be recognized on all pre and post-event publicity in all cross-promotional marketing by the Greater Shelby and South Shelby Chambers.

–$600 Team of Four Sponsor: This includes tee time for one four-person team and all amenities accompanying the tournament including meal, and the opportunity to win cash and other prizes at the conclusion of the tournament.

–$500 Ball Drop Contest Sponsor: This includes company signage at the contest area indicating the contest and proximity prize. This will be an opportunity for two representatives from the company to host a hospitality tent/table and includes recognition on all pre and post-event publicity in all cross-promotional marketing by the Greater Shelby and South Shelby Chambers.

–$500 Longest Drive Contest Sponsor: This includes company signage at the contest area indicating the contest and proximity prize. This will be an opportunity for two representatives from the company to host a hospitality tent/table and includes recognition on all pre and post-event publicity in all cross-promotional marketing by the Greater Shelby and South Shelby Chambers.

–$500 Straightest Drive Contest Sponsor: This includes company signage at the contest area indicating the contest and proximity prize. This will be an opportunity for two representatives from the company to host a hospitality tent/table and includes recognition on all pre and post-event publicity in all cross-promotional marketing by the Greater Shelby and South Shelby Chambers.

–$500 Putting Contest Sponsor: This includes company signage at the contest area indicating the contest and proximity prize. This will be an opportunity for two representatives from the company to host a hospitality tent/table and includes recognition on all pre and post-event publicity in all cross-promotional marketing by the Greater Shelby and South Shelby Chambers.

–$350 Hospitality Tent Sponsor: This includes an all-day opportunity for marketing and networking and a company name will be provided on signage for your assigned tee.

–$350 Potty Sponsor: This includes recognition prominently placed at club house restrooms and along the course at each restroom stop.

–$150 Green Sponsor: This includes a company name provided on signage at the assigned green for promotional visibility as golfers play through.

Sponsorship registration for the tournament should be completed and returned to the Greater Shelby County Chamber by Sept. 8.
