Familiar faces back at Bruno’s

With its strongest field of Senior PGA Tour players in its history combined with a Greystone Golf Club Founder’s Course that will be in ultimate condition, the 2002 edition of the Bruno’s Memorial Classic is shaping up to be the best ever.

The list of Senior PGA Tour players committed to play at Greystone reads like a Hall of Fame of golf greats &045; Hale Irwin, Tom Watson, Lee Trevino, Raymond Floyd, Ben Crenshaw, Larry Nelson, Fuzzy Zoeller, Bruce Fleischer and many more.

Not only will this year’s event showcase the Senior PGA Tour’s best, but many of your favorite celebrities will share their golfing talents during the HealthSouth Pro-Am on today (May 1) and The Real Yellow Pages from BellSouth Pro-Am on

Thursday, May 2.

Scheduled to appear are Troy Aikman, Charles Barkley, Tim Brando, Watson Brown, David Cutcliff, Al Del Greco, Chan Gailey, Vince Gill, Mark Gottfried, Bo Jackson, Dan Marino, Randy Owen, Wimp Sanderson, Kenny Stabler, Pat

Sullivan and Tommy Tuberville.

On Friday, golfing legend Chi Chi Rodriguez will teach the Alabama Power Junior Clinic at 5 p.m. On Thursday, anyone the age of 40 or above will be admitted free of charge to attend the Celebrity Pro-Am and the chipping clinic as part of the tournament’s &uot;Free Fore Forty +&uot; promotion

The first round of tournament play also begins on Friday.

The second round of tournament play will be held Saturday, with the championship round completing the week of events Sunday.

Living up to its moniker of a &uot;classic&uot; event, the Bruno’s continues to deliver the best-run tournament on the Senior PGA Tour and possibly any Tour.
