Vote for locals Tuesday

Shelby County is extremely fortunate to have residents who are willing to really get in there and try to make a difference in Alabama government.

Two of those are candidates for two of only seven constitutional offices in the state &045; Beth Chapman and Bill Armistead.

Beth Chapman is running for the office of state auditor, and it is with great pride that we endorse her for the office.

She is, by far, the best candidate.

She has the administrative capabilities and the political savvy to get the job done. She also has the willingness to work diligently and honestly for the people of Shelby County and Alabama.

Her opponents have their positive attributes, but not one comes close to Chapman.

As far the office of lieutenant governor, Bill Armistead is our choice.

Armistead has served as senator for District 14, which includes Shelby County, for a number of years. He has worked tirelessly in Montgomery to keep gambling out of the state.

He truly has the conservative values that are necessary to &uot;fix&uot; Montgomery.

Shelby County has an opportunity to post two of its residents in Montgomery.

That can only mean a positive outcome for the county we all love.

Let’s get out on Tuesday and show our support for Beth Chapman and Bill Armistead
