The Lightning jumped out to a 30-8 halftime lead, led by Armstrong’s touchdowns of four, 20 and 10 yards. Blake Armsrong, Clint’s brother, scored the other touchdown on a 16-yard interception return of a Chad Christian pass.

C.J. Britton’s 30-yard interception return later in the quarter finished the Lightning’s scoring run, as Evangel led 54-8 after three periods.
