Two former Thompson Warriors will compete in NCAA conference championship games Saturday as

freshmen football players.

Tony Bell, a defensive

back for the Auburn Tigers, and Alonzo Barrett, a defensive

end for the Colorado Buffaloes, are headed to their respective conference championsihip

games this weekend in Atlanta (SEC) and Kansas City, Missouri (Big 12).

Bell has been a stand-out for Auburn’s special teams while Barrett

has made his way into the Buffaloes’ defensive line

rotation, having a break-out game against the University of North Texas where he had six tackles (five solo and a sack) and was named by the Colorado coaching staff as Defensive Player of the Game for his efforts
