Alabaster recognizes couple

Alabaster Mayor David Frings recognized an Alabaster couple for their help in the search for a missing autistic neighbor.
Mr. And Mrs. James T. Eddings joined Alabaster Police and Fire Department personnel in the attempt to locate a 19-year-old autistic neighbor who was reported missing on Oct. 22.
According to the proclamation by Frings, &8220;Thanks to the diligent efforts of Mr. And Mrs. Eddings,&8221; the neighbor was located and subsequently returned home to his parents.
In honor of their efforts, Frings proclaimed Oct. 23, 2005, as &8220;Mr. And Mrs. James Eddings Day&8221; in Alabaster and extended appreciation and respect for their &8220;guided community service.&8221;
