Special to the Reporter

Vincent Mayor Terry Allen and the Town Council have set Monday, Nov. 28 as the date for the annual Vincent Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony and Parade.

The parade will start at 6 p.m. and will wind its way from Vincent Middle/High School down Main Street, stopping at the Christmas tree for the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony.

Santa will make his traditional entrance on a Vincent Fire Truck and will stop in the parking area behind Town Hall where he will be available to receive Christmas lists from all little boys and girls and the Christmas parade floats may be viewed up close.

After the Tree Lighting and Parade, the evening’s program includes season’s greetings from town and visiting dignitaries, prize give-aways and Christmas carols.

Float registration forms can be picked up at Vincent Town Hall. There is no entry fee.

The Mayor’s Trophy will be awarded to the Best of Show float; the Council Trophy goes to the Best Merchant float; and the A-Sharp Trophy will be presented to the Best Marching Band.

Allen said, &8220;This year’s Ceremony and Parade will be dedicated to all of our men and women in the military.&8221;
