Eugene Abercrombie

Eugene Abercrombie, 87, of Sterrett died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2005. He was a veteran of World War II and a member and deacon at Beulah Baptist Church.

He was the owner of Abercrombie Appliance for more than 50 years and served as a rural letter carrier for 27 years.

He is survived by his wife, Willie Gene Abercrombie; two sons, Gary E. Abercrombie and Gregory L. Abercrombie; one sister, Charlie Faye Moore; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Service was Nov. 11 at 2 p.m. at Beulah Baptist Church in Sterrett with burial following in Beulah Cemetery, Dr. Donald LaBelle and the Rev. Earl Hardy presiding and Kilgroe Funeral Home of Pell City directing. Pallbearers were Robert Abercrombie, Scott Abercrombie, Matthew Abercrombie, William Abercrombie, Corey Moore and Dale Churchwell
